April through June and September through October are the sweet spot — mild days, cool nights, and clear Sierra views. Summer can hit the high 90s in town (though it's cooler up at elevation), and winter brings snow and ice to the higher trails. Sunrise is the move here: soft light, empty trails, and a real chance you'll have Mobius Arch all to yourselves.

Honest answer: Lone Pine is small, so most couples here are eloping rather than hosting a full reception — and that's part of the charm. Ceremonies inside the Alabama Hills require a BLM Special Use Permit for anything beyond a couple + photographer (no chairs, arch, or decor without approval); we handle that paperwork for you.

Want an indoor gathering spot right in town? Lone Pine Center hosts small weddings and private events. For a bigger reception, most couples drive about 45 minutes north to Bishop, where venues like the Tri-County Fairgrounds can host larger groups — or continue on to the Mammoth Lakes area for resort-style options.
