What is included in a brand photography session?
All sessions include a Zoom strategy call before the shoot, planning guidance for wardrobe, location, props, and shot list, high-resolution edited images, full commercial rights, and a proof gallery within 5 days. The Half-Day and Full-Day sessions also include professional hair and makeup. The Full-Day adds BTS video content including five short-form videos for Instagram Reels or TikTok.
How long is a brand photography session?
Session length depends on the package: the Mini Brand Session is 45 minutes, the Brand Refresh is 2 hours, the Half-Day session is 4–5 hours, and the Full-Day experience is a 5-hour shoot. All sessions include a strategy call beforehand to maximize your time on shoot day.
How many photos will I receive from a brand session?
The number of edited images depends on your session: the Mini session delivers 20–35 images, the Brand Refresh delivers 50 images, the Half-Day delivers 80+ images, and the Full-Day delivers 120+ images. You select your favorites from a proof gallery delivered within 5 days.
Do I need professional hair and makeup for brand photos?
Professional hair and makeup is included in the Full-Day Brand Photography Experience and the Half-Day session. For the Brand Refresh and Mini sessions, it is not included but is recommended — Mariela can help you find a local stylist if needed. Looking polished and camera-ready makes a significant difference in the final images.
Where are brand photography sessions held in Southern California?
Sessions can be held at your studio, business location, outdoors at a curated location, or in a professional studio with multiple sets. Mariela is based in Riverside, CA and serves the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego — and travels throughout California and neighboring states.
What should I wear to a brand photography session?
During your pre-session strategy call, Mariela helps you plan your wardrobe based on your brand colors, aesthetic, and the platforms you'll use the images on. As a general guide: wear solid or simple patterns, bring multiple outfits to tell different sides of your brand story, and avoid logos or text on clothing unless it is part of your brand.
Do I need to know my brand colors and identity before booking?
Having a clear brand identity — including your colors, fonts, and target client — helps create more cohesive, intentional images. Mariela covers this during the strategy call and can guide you if you're still developing your brand. The more intentional you are going in, the more powerful the images coming out.
